C.E. Johnson Jr. has been cited by the Virginia Horticultural Society for his leadership in the fruit industry of the state. He was presented a plaque at a recent meeting of the Society in Roanoke, which said, in part, C.E. Johnson, Jr., a fruit grower who has given unselfishly of his time in providing leadership for the benefit of the Virginia fruit industry, especially in the areas of marketing and processing. He has been a member of the Apple Commission and of the Horticultural Society Board. Mr. Johnson operates over a hundred acres of orchards in the Sperryville area.
