Lyle Racer
Lyle Stuart Racer of Luray died April 6, 1975 at his home. He was 71, a native of Rappahannock County and the son of the late Richard W. and Lucy V. Jenkins Racer. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Marie Racer Davis of Washington, D.C.; three sisters, Mrs. Willie Payne of Washington, Va.;, Mrs. Anna Fincham of Sperryville and Mrs. Robert Jacobs, Amissville; three brothers, C.R. Racer, Front Royal, Luther B. Racer, Winchester and James C. Racer of Martinsburg, W. Va.
A funeral service conducted by the Rev. Max Fisher was held April 10 at the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray and interment was in the Beahm’s Chapel Cemetery.
Williams
James Edward Williams, 55, of Front Royal died at his home Monday, April 21, 1975. He was born at Huntly, the son of the late Bossie Williams and Mrs. Nellie Harris Williams of Front Royal. He was a member of Front Royal First Baptist Church, honorary member of the Front Royal Volunteer Fire Department, amemberoftheFrdnt Royal Lions Club and Giles B. Cook Post 53, Front Royal American Legion.
For 29 years he was a radio technician for the Virginia State Police. A veteran of World WarU, he served with the U.S. Army in Europe.
With his mother, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edith F. Williams; three sons, Steven Williams of Falls Church, Gary and Bruce Williams at home; three brothers,
