RAPPAHANNOCK County and Virginia Extension Homemakers’ Council have made four scholarships available to local students. Graduating seniors are eligible to apply.
The Hallie L. Hughes Scholarship is given to a student who plans to major in Home Economics and work toward the position of an Extension Agent. The amount of this scholarship will be $500 annually. The Maude E. Wallace Scholarship is given to a student who plans to major in Home Economics at V.P.I. and SU. The amount of this scholarship will be $500 annually.
The Ella G. Agnew Scholarship is a study grant to be used by persons training for a nursing career or in a field related to the medical profession. The maximum amount of this scholarship for any individual shall not exceed $500 annually.
All of these scholarships are made available statewide by the Virginia Extension Homemakers’ Council.
