Water rate
is amended
At a special meeting Tuesday night of the Washington Town Council the proposed water rate increases were amended and rates will be raised on only those who use in excess of 10,000. The increase on this will be 20 cents for each 100 gallons. No other rates will be changed on water usage.
The Council did approve a charge of $100 plus the costs of the actual hookup on new water installations and a moritorium was announced on hookups to residents outside of the corporation limits until a survey can be made to determine the capacity of the system.□
