After ail this nation has been through with respect to. the question of equal rights for minority races, and religious and ethnic groups, one would think the issue of equality before the law would be a well-understood principal and one not subject to the irrelevant distortions ERA has been plagued with.
Supporters of the Equal Rights Amendment, such as myself, do not believe that its passage has anything to do with the millennium. We only anticipate that it will increase legal equity. And ft appears that as many men as women share this hope. Therein lies our expectation for ratification of ERA by the Virginia State Legislature in the coming session.
