OVER 1600 persons cast their votes in the November 8 election. Of those persons, the following percentages of votes were cast: Howell, 52.1%, Dalton, 49.7%; Robb, 59.4%, Canada, 40.6%; Lane and Coleman were less than 1/10 of 1% apart, with Lane only three votes ahead of Coleman. John J. “Butch ” Davies earned 56.3% of Rappahannock’s votes, compared to George Beard’s 43.7%.
