Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Jenkins Butler Goodwin of Fredericksburg were conducted Sunday at the Clore Funeral Hdme Chapel in Culpeper by the Rev. Rogers Chenault. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery, Culpeper.

Mrs. Goodwin, 60, died Thursday, January 12, 1978, at her residence following a sudden heart attack.

A native of Rappahannock County, her parents were the late Luther Spillman and Della Fincham Jenkins. Her first husband was the late William T. Butler.

She had lived in Fredericksburg for several years.

She is survived by her husband, James P. Goodwin; four sons, William S. Butler of Richmond, Edgar L. Butler of Warrenton, John R. Butler of Culpeper, and Thomas J. Butler of York, Pa.; two daughters, Mrs. John Hutton of Manassas and Mrs. Eddie Cooke of Reva; 18 grandchildren; two brothers, Luther S. Jenkins
