The New Virginians, Virginia Tech’s studenl musical and entertainment troupe, has cracked the commercial television markel with a guest appearance on the syndicated show “Dinah,” starring Dinah Shore.
The show will be broadcast on Jan. 18, at 4 p.m., on WTOP, Washington, D.C., and Jan. 25, at 9 a.m., on WDBJ, Roanoke.
The appearance culminates a successful national tour, the group’s first, sponsored by the Georgia-Pacific Corp. as part of its 50th anniversary observance.
The New Virginians’ performance on “Dinah” will be broadcast by 86 television stations across the country.
