Senior High School Students (those planning graduation in the spring of 1978) are eligible to compete for the much coveted positions in the annual Conservation Employment Program according to Chester F. Phelps, Executive Director of the Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries. Phelps is serving as chairman of the Virginia Selection Committee that determines which students from the Old Dominion will participate in the national competition. The summer employment program is jointly sponsored by the Department of the Interior, the United States Forest Service, and the Izaak Walton League.
Virginia high school seniors who plan to pursue careers in the natural resources field are eligible to apply for the limited number of positions. The other requirements include the
