MERADCOM is part of the US Army Materiel Development and Readiness Command and is responsible for research, development, engineering and first production buys of equipment in four areas essential to the volunteer Army: barrier and counterbarrier systems: countersurveillance systems: energy and environmental systems; and supply distribution and construction equipment systems.
4-H Contests
Set March 29
A 4-H Demonstration and Share-the-Fun Contest will be held Saturday, March 29, at 10 a.m. at Rappahannock Elementary School.
All Rappahannock youth from 9 to 19 are encouraged to participate.
Demonstrations on 4-H projects have a time limit of 15 minutes. Share-the-Fun acts of one to four persons have a time limit pf four minutes.
Categories for Share-theFun are dance, instrumental, vocal, drama-novelty and general.
Junior and senior winners in each category are eligible to compete in the District contest April 12 at Culpeper High School. Senior winners at the District level will compete at Club Congress at VPI&SU, Blacksburg, in June.
