ROUTE 211—AMISSVILLE

Flocks, which are wallcoverings with raised fibers, usually nylon, are applied in a design to simulate the look cf veVet. They require a special hanging technique which is aesKjned Jo preserve the velvety look. Therefore, avoid hard overbrushing when smoothing a flocked wall covering on the wall. Gently tap seams with the edge of the smoothing brush to press them down. Never use a seam roller. Cut and hang one strip at a time, rinsing as you go, cleaning the paste off the face of the flock promptly with a clean, damp sponge. Once the wall covering is completely dry, gently brush it with a soft brush to set the direction of the flocked fiber.
