Wakefield School concluded its six-week ski program with downhill slalom races and a banquet for students, parents and instructors March 3 at Bryce Resort.
Trophies and medals were awarded students of the Wakefield Ski Club who exhibited outstanding performances in several classes, capping the second successful season for the program.
Judged “best all around” skiers were Paige Cather of Winchester, Todd Landis of Front Royal and Larry Ambrogi of Winchester, who received trophies.
Gold Medalists were Robert Johnson, David Yanniello, Kathy Talley, Rod Early, Kelly Smithgall, Kathy Johnson, Stephan Landis, Geoffrey Clouser, Kevin Smithgall, Denis Dierig, John Landis, and Wynn Voeks.
Winning the Silver were Justin Corddry, Rothrock, Matthew Lynn, Susannah McClellan, Deidre Coombs, Nicholas Bischoff, Jeff Rozic, Richard Dierig, Nancy Massie, Paul Phillips, i Paul Hartung and Todd Landis. The Bronze was kwarded Jonathan Andrews, Cindy Hunter, Carrie Coombs, Erik Viafore, Peter Corddry, Amy Harris, Margaret Holliday, Billy Germelman, Doug Handley, Shawn Hunter, Doug VoekV a'nd Larry Ambrogi. The Nastar Silver Medal was awarded Kathy Johnson, Nancy Massie, Wynn Voeks
