A horse and deer took the spotlight in traffic mishaps in the past week, in addition to motor vehicles.
In Amissville on Route 211 west late Saturday night a motorist struck a horse and totally damaged his vehicle. Charlie Tompkins of ^Washington operating a ’79 T*ontiac was traveling west ■when three horses surged into
highway. Tompkins hit :®ne‘ 'of the animal*, which belonged to James Tomko of Amissville, according to Trooper R. A. Baines.
