No Solution
To the editor:
Gun control is not a solution to the ills of society. Prohibition laws haven’t worked, ad nauseum.
Self-restraint, taught by parents and social institutions, supported by legal accountability, will work. Those who would do away with crime by doing away with the tools of crime don't think very clearly. Wwmust convince them to det&with the criminal. 1
Remember after tnley do away with hand guns to prevent murder, they may next try to eliminate rape. Doing away with the tools of rape would meet with much greater success in eliminating this crime than doing away with hand guns would have in eliminating murder.
But I, for one, don’t want any part of it.
