NOTICE
Pursuant to Section 15.1-431 of the Code of Virginia. 1950, as amended, notice is hereby given that the Board of Supevisors of Rappahannock County will consider the following proposed ordinance at its meeting on Monday, December 1, 1980 at 10:00 o'clock A.M. in the Courthouse, Washington, Rappahannock County, Virginia.
WHEREAS, Section 58-847 of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, empowers the County of Rappahannock to provide, by ordinance, for a time for filing local license applications and annual returns of taxable, tangible personal property, machinery and tools and merchant's capital and the time or times for payment of annual taxes or levies on real estate and tangible personal property, machinery and tools and merchant’s capital, which may, in the discretion of the governing body, be in installments; and may provide by ordinance penalties for failure to file such applications and returns for non-payment in time, and may provide for payment of interest on delinquent taxe^at a r^te not greater than 10% per annum; and
