The season for fall turkey hunting began at one halfhour before sunrise on Monday, November 10, and will end at one half-hour after sunset (local times) on December 31. Bag limit for turkeys is one per day, two per license year.
There is an exception to the season and bag limit in the counties of Franklin, Greensville and Prince George. The season in those counties runs from November 10 only through November 15th, with the bag limit being one per day, two per license year (ONE OF WHICH MAY BE A HEN IN THE FALL). Also opening on November 10th was the season for pheasant (November 10-15) with the bag limit being one cock per day, two per license year. Hunters are reminded that pheasants must be carried to the nearest checking station where an official pheasant tag will be attached.
