A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the arson in Sperryville that left four barns in ashes on October 31. Any organizations or citizens interested in contributing to the reward fund should write the amount they’re willing to donate on the bottom left corner of an envelope, seal their name and address inside and mail the envelope to “St&p Arson”, Box 38A. Washington, Va: 22747.
Envelopes will be kept under lock and key and will not be opened until a conviction is secured.
Persons with information on the Halloween Night burnings are urged to contact the Rappahannock Sheriffs Department. The identity of any and all informants will be kept completely confidential, according to Commonwealth’s Attorney Douglas Baumgardner.
Updates on the amount of the reward fund will be reported in the Rappahannock News.
