WVFD Benefit
To benefit the Washington Volunteer Fire Department, Rev. Edward Jenkins and the Blue Grass Gospel Boys will give a performance at the Mountain Magic Theater in Washington on Sunday, November 16, at 2 p.m.
There will be no admission charge but a special offering will be taken with proceeds to go to the WVFD. Everyone is welcome.

Rock-a-thon
The Future Business Leaders of America chapter at Piedmont Tech Center is sponsoring a Kock-A-Thon for the benefit of the'March of Dimes. The event will take place at the school on Friday, November 14 at 5 p.m. and continue through Saturday the 15th until 5 p.m.
Persons will be rocking in chairs for 24 hours and all proceeds will be given to the March of Dimes which works towards prevent birth defects. Donation of food and drink are still needed according to a spokesman for the event.
