Marshall W. Ely, 63, of Winchester, died Sunday. November 9, 1980 in the Veterans Administration Center, Martinsburg, W. Va.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Jones Funeral Home, Winchester conducted by the Rev. Paul. E. Dick. Burial was in Shenandoah Memorial Park.
Mr. Ely was born May 23, 1907 at Rock Oak. W. Va.. son of the late William Vance and Florence Viola Evans Ely. He was a member of Bean’s Settlement Brethren Church. Prior to retirement he was employed as a plumber at Terry Industries.
Surviving are his widow, Viola Mae Rickard Ely; three stepdaughters, Barbara Bort of Yakima, Wash., Joanne Wolfe of Amissville and Delores Fleet of Winchester; a brother, Thomas V. Ely of Keyser, W. Va.; a sister, Betty Hott of Keyser; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
