The Rappahannock Horse and Pony Club has been very busy. Fourteen members of the organization attended the Washington International Horse Show on November 1, and not only witnessed the day’s regularly scheduled events, but got to go behind the scenes and meet and pet the Black Stallion of movie fame, make friends with a camel and watch the magnificent Budweiser Clydsdales being readied for the evening performance.
On Wednesday, November S, the turnout of the club for the Rappahannock 4-H Achievement night at the Elementary school was not nearly so good, but President Brenda Lawrenct did an excellent job summarizing the club’s activities over the past year before accepting the organization’s awards on behalf of the entire group.
On Friday, November 14, a meeting for Horse and Pony Club members will be held at Birchgate Farm in Amissville. Starting time will be 7:00 p.m. and it is anticipated the meeting will run about an hour. Urder discussion will be plar, for the Thanksgiving clinic, A Christmas party and future Field trips. In addition, awards will be presented.
New members are always welcome. For further information, contact club leader Jane Naramore at 9375367 or Birchgate Instructor Sherry Hamill at 937-5558.
