Funeral services for Walter Cleveland Jenkins of Sperryville were held Tuesday at the Geest-Johnson Funeral Home Chapel in Culpeper conducted by the Rev. Bobby Rooper. Burial was in Sperryville Cemetery.
Mr. Jenkins. 81. a farmer, died Saturday. February 14, 1981 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital. A native of Rappahannock County, he was the son of the late Andrew Jenkins and the late Ida Fincham Jenkins Rutherford.
He is survived by his wife. Mrs. Gertie Leake Jenkins: four daughters, Mrs. Virginia Dodson of Orange, Mrs. Julia Leake of Washington. D: C., Mrs. May Helen Cave of Boston and Miss Nellie Marie Jenkins of Sperryville; three sons, Earl C. Jenkins of Culpeper, Bernard L. Jenkins of Sperryville and Junior R. Jenkins of Leon; two brothers, Garence Jenkins of Winchester and Henry Jenkins of Huntly; 19 grandchildren and 17 greatgrandchildren.
