Th* Student Conservation Association Inc., supported locally by the Warrenton Garden Club, is now accepting applications for 700 summer volunteers in land management positions in more than 70 national parks, forests and private conservation areas throughout the United States.

The program is divided into two age groups: high school students between the ages of 16 and 18, and men or women of college age or older. Positions are currently available on a competitive basis for this summer.

The High School Program offers group work and recreational experiences for three to five weeks for students from all parts of the United States in groups of 6, 10 or 12 under skilled leadership. Two to four weeks are devoted to conservation work and one week is devoted to exploring and hiking in wilderness areas.
