Persons in Culpeper nearing retirement age should know that a decision to postpone retirement could result in increased future social security benefits, the social security manager in Culpeper said recently. “A worker who will be 65 years old before 1982,” Bruce A. Hundley said, "will receive an increase in social security benefits of one percent for each year—or one-twelfth of one percent for each month —from age 65 to 72 that he or she does not get benefits.
