Noting that SI5.000 worth of fuel oil has been used so far this year at the elementary school, Newbill Miller raised the possibility of proceeding immediately with energy conservation measures at both schools rather than postponing the "buttoning up" projects for inclusion with any capital outlay needs as the board had decided earlier in the evening. Miller pointed out that the $15,000 doesn’t include cost of coal for the high school.

In its preceding discussion, the board took no action on a proposal from Engineered Systems to complete an analysts and evaluation of the two public schools to determine what can be done to conserve energy.
