A relieved town council heard from councilman Charlies Jenkins last Wednesday that “the reservoir is full and running over.” Jenkins’ welcome report came a month after Washington found itself running out of water from a combination of drought, severe leaks, and unproductive wells.
The town struggled through the weeks without water by practicing conservation. drilling a new well, and trucking in water to add to the insufficient output of the wells and springs.
