With baseball season just around winter's last icy corner, plans for the formation of the Skyline Junior Babe Ruth League should warm local players and fans alike. Rappahannock has joined with Madison and Greene counties to establish a league for youngsters 13 to 15 years old. This Skyline Junior Babe Ruth League will operate under a six-member board of directors with Rappahannock

Since its beginning four years ago, RAA has recognized the problems in providing opportunities to play summer baseball for 13 to 15-yearolds.

There haven’t been enough players to form an in-county youth league as RAA has done for younger children. Arranging pick-up games has proved difficult since most other teams belong to a league. Madison and Greene counties face the same situation circumstances that should be improved by the Skyline Junior Babe Ruth League.
