Beard Named
Trustee
The General Assembly last^ week confirmed the appointment of Del. George P. Beard Jr., R-Culpeper. to the board of trustees of the Chippokes Plantation Farm Foundation. Beard's term runs concurrently with his tenure in the House of Delegates. Beard, whose appointment was announced last summer by Gov. John Dalton. replaces Del. Raymond R. (Andy) Guest Jr.' on the board, who resigned.
Also included in the list of gubernatorial appointments confirmed by the legislature was Marie Pietri Kilpatrick, of Woodville. who was named in May to the Virginia Cotpmission for the Arts. She fills the unexpired term ending June 30 of the late William Cabell Grayson.
Stork Shower
Mrs. Linda Clark and Mrs. Dorothy Ralls of Washington were co-hostesses at a stork shower at the latter’s homo Sunday. February 15, for Mrs. Ike Linwood Ralls of Sperryville.
