District is $174,400 and on buildings $86,200. Clerk Diane Bruce's 5.2 acres in Jackson District is valued at $12,900 and her house at $27,800. Assessment on the 123 acres held by commissioner of revenue Merle Scoggin and her husband Harold is $137,100 with buildings avsessed at $82,900.
For commercial property, the Aileen Plant is appraised at $1,513,700 and its 36 acres at $103,300. The Rap pahannock National Bank building is assessed at $100,000 and lot at $10,000. The value of the Rappahannock Farmers Cooperative’s new building is $229,000 and its 3.66 acre lot is appraised for $36,600.
Values of county owned buildings are $39,700 for the court house. $17,600 tor the treasurer's office. $15,500 for the county agent's office. $68,100 for the clerk's office and $43,400 for the jail complex. Assessment figures have not been turned in yet on the elementary or high school.
The largest single tax bill in the county will probably go to the William N. Lane Estate. The assessed value on its approximately 8.768 acres is $4,681,700. excluding buildings.
