the same dried food as the family dog, Baldwin’s blue foxes share another trait with their canine cousins—a requirement for veterinary care. Last week, the New York dealer stopped by Sperryville to give the foxes their annual rabies and distemper inoculations.

Beginning in midNovember, the dealer will be making regular trips to Sperryville, not to check on the foxes but to pick up furs from Baldwin. His long involvement in the fur trading business is what drew Thomas into breeding blue foxes in the first place.
