Wdiking Tour

Guide

A brochure for a selfguided walking tour of the Town of Washington will be available at the Rappahannock Historical Society building this weekend for the first time. Printed under the auspices of the Society, with line drawings and a map of the town, the brochure will sell for SI.00.

The brochure is a threeyear effort on the parts of Mrs. Virginia Lindstrom, Cathy Kiley and Mrs. Helen Holschuh. They worked from and old guide printed in connection with the 1957 Jamestown Festival and expanded it by researching and conferring with as many long time residents as possible.

The information gathered was edited and compiled by Howard Holschuh into the handy town guide. The tour of the town requires about an hour.
