My decorative tooling is done entirely with individual brass handtools whether in 24carat gold leaf or as “blind” tooling,” Mrs. Sharp concluded.

Glass Demonstration
Edward J. Sharp, oldest son of Sally Sharp and Capt. George Sharp, is a specialist educated in the art of medieval stained glass techniques. He took instruction in Charlottesville while he was working at the | University of Virginia Hospital, and is presently making stained glass at his cabin studio on the Fodderstack Road.
“I work in lead came and copper foil," explains Sharp. "I like to create my own designs and I work with a local artist in planning special designs. My stained glass is used in windows, lamps, suncatchers, mirrors, hanging panels, and can be incorporated in furniture.”
The Library will welcome local and out-of-county visitors from 11 to 5 o’clock on Saturday, October 17, and 1 to 5 o’clock oh Sunday, to see these two rare exhibits and demonstrations by Sharp and Sharp.
