Sharp Named
Finance Head
Raymond R. "Andy” Guest, Jr., 18th Legislative District representative, is pleased to announce that George H. Sharp, a local farm operator and retired naval officer, has accepted the position of Rappahannock County finance chairman for his reelection campaign.
Sharp, who lives in Washington, commented upon accepting this position, “It is indeed a privilege to be involved in Andy’s campaign. Andy Guest is one of the few members of the House of Delegates that maintains a full-time Legislative Office and has an excellent record of constituent service.”
Guest, as a result of redistricting in Virginia, is now running for reelection in Page, Rappahannock, Clarke and Warren Counties.
10th Anniversary
Macedonia Baptist Church of Flint Hill will celebrate the tenth anniversary of its pastor, Rev. James A. Price, on Sunday, October 18. Guest speaker at the 3 p.m. service will be Rev. A. A. Booker of Ebenezer Church in Alexandria. Dinner will be served after the morning service.
Soccer Game
In a soccer game at Wakefield School in Huntly on Saturday, Oct. 17, at 11 a.m.. Nature’s Food will play Wakefield.
Nature’s Food, a team composed of youngsters from Rappahannock high school and elementary school, competes in the Warrenton League under the sponsorship of Washington’s health food store and restaurant. The group is coached by Howard Coon of Castleton.
