Garage Payment
The superintendent reported that he’d received Final payment from the Virginia Department of Highways for the school bus garage building and lot condemned for the widening of Route 211. The first check sent by the Highway Department in June was for $22,642 and the second was to be for $32,358. Instead, the final payment was $34,678.91, which included interest for the period beyond the 30 days in which the Highway Department was to pay the school board, Estabrook reported.
