14, 1961 edition of the News which was a combination of local gossip and commentary. One of the items concerned a new dance gaining popularity locally. “I understand that a couple of the teachers at RCHS are competing with students learning the latest dance, the Twist. How are you making out Mrs. Burford and Mrs, Palmer? Perhaps I can give you a tip. A local lawyer was explaining in the restaurant one day that you can perfect it by taking a bath towel by each end and pretend you’re drying your back.”
