Representing the new Student-Parent-Teacher Association, Mary Beth Martin asked for board permission to remove the bottom section of the climbing dome, a piece of playground equipment at the elementary school. Youngsters are not now allowed to play on the dome because several have fallen from its 9 foot height and been injured, she said.
