project from the Rappahannock’s Women’s Gub which donated the dome to the school. At some point in the future, she said, the SPTA also plans to put a soft substance underneath the dome to further protect children from injury.
The board agreed to the lowering of the dome provided approval from the Women’s Club can be secured.
Assistant superintendent Jerry Lysik told the board that he has secured a car to replace his school assigned vehicle that was totaled in an accident last month. The replacement is a 1977 Dodge Morocco with 83,000 miles, purchase price $1,250. The car was bought with funds from the $1,739 insurance settlement on the 1975 Hornet previously assigned to Lysik. The assistant superintendent added that his'accident has had no effect on the school’s vehicle insurance rates.
