Theater IV on Tour will present “Santa’s Toyland Adventure" at the Culpeper Junior High School on Saturday. December 12, at 2 p.m. The new holiday mystery is the third and final play of a Santa trilogy written by Virginia playwright Richard Giersch for the non-profit children’s theater. The first two plays of the series. “Santa’s Erichanted Workshop” and “Santa's Christmas Miracle," delighted young audiences the past two Christmases. In the third play of the trilogy, Santa works undercover as a pirate to apprehend a slippery mail thief. The action takes place in Toyland. a seaside town whose major industry is making toys. Even its citizens resemble toys.

At Christmas time Toyland is the clearing house for children's letters to Santa.

Star Lighting

Ceremony Set

The annual Star Lighting Ceremony at RandolphMacon Academy will be held Thursday. December 10, at 6 p.m.

The Academy Band will perform several Christmas selections, followed by a reading of the Christmas story and the lighting of the star on the dome of Sonner Hall.

The public is invited to participate with the cadets, faculty, and staff in this observance.

The following Thursday, the public is invited to attend the annual Christmas concert presented by the Academy Band and the Handbell Choir. The program will begin at 8 p.m. in Melton Memorial Gymnasium.
