JV In Slump

The Junior Panthers’ hold on the top spot in Bull Run junior varsity competition is hanging by a thread after Rappahannock’s JV dropped its fourth straight game in a loss to Clarke County’s Eagles, 44-38, on Tuesday. The Panthers had only one bucket in the first quarter. Tommy Jenkins paced RCHS with 18 points. Last Friday night, Rapp’s JV was defeated by the Brentsville Tigers, 41-32. Rappahannock had a 14-12 first quarter lead, riding four blocked shots by Jenkins. But the Panthers seemed to go into a trance, particularly on defense, that allowed the Tigers to push to victory. Jenkins was again high for Rappahannock with 17 points. _
