The Panthers upped their record to 12-4 overall and 7-1 in the district after slipping by the host Clarke County Eagles, 64-51, Tuesday night.
The Panthers earned an early 8-t lead after Pendleton hit a gliding lay-up and they owned the advantage for the rest of the contest. Rapp’s defense stifled the Eages as Pops Aylor stole the ball and then connected at the charity stripe after the ensuing foul. Mike Leake grabbed offensive rebounds and either laid the ball in or hit from the free throw line as the Eagles were forced to resort to fouls to stop the big center.
