Underground Home
On Tour t
A unique and beautiful underground house will be featured on a mobil mini-architecture course revolving around a tour of eight contemporary houses designed by Don Chandler, Flint Hill architect and director of Spectra School of'Design. The tour of the eight homes, all located in tne Great Falls/McLean area, will leave from the Great Falls Professional Center at 9 a.m. on Saturday, February 5, and will continue until 4:30 p.m. The course includes sitting and designing, sketching and photography. Cost, which covers the instructed tour, lunch and discussion, is $25 for fulltime students, $50 for non-students. All subscribers to the Culpeper Community Concerts Association have the opportunity to take advantage of additional concerts without any extra costs.
Performances at which local subscriptions will be honored include Ransome Wilson, flute soloist, on Thursday, January 27, 8 p.m., at Fairfax High School; Jack Daniels Silver Coronet Band, a 13piece turn of the century band, on Thursday, February 3, 8 p.m., at Stonewall Jackson High School in Manassas; Steven and Nadya Gordon, duo piantists who have won acclaim across the country for their faultless work, on Saturday. February 12, 8 p.m., at Fairfax High School.
Talent On Stage
Seventh graders will present a showcase of talent at a variety show set for February 18 at 8 p.m. in the Rappahannock Klementary School’s auditorium.
Admission will be $1.50 for adults. $1.00 for students, with all proceeds going toward the seventh grade’s annual class trip to Williamsburg.
