Henry Starks, %, of Washington, died on Friday, January 28, 1983, at his residence.
A native of Rappahannock County, he was the son of the late Daniel and Catherine Starks. His wife was the late Mattie Betty Freeman Starks. He was a horse trainer and a member of the First Baptist Church in Washington.
Survivors include four daughters, Miss Catherine Starks, Mrs. Nancy Pointer, Mrs. Margaret Copeland and Mrs. Mary Rachel Fleet, all of Washington, D. C.; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Washington by the Rev. John Pendleton. Burial was in the Odd Fellows Cemetery at Washington.
