An elderly Washington man died in a house fire Friday.
Henry Starks, %, was found dead on his living room floor by police and rescue volunteers who responded to the structural fire at approximately 10 a.m., according to Trooper R. A. Baines.
A passer-by saw smoke coming from the eaves of Starks’ residence, Baines said. The man couldn't get in through the locked front door and ran around to the kitchen entrance which was open.
