Program
Wakefield School in Huntly has initiated a computer literacy course for all students in grades 1-12. The goal of the new program is to make all students familiar with the computer as a tool for advancing educational achievement.
The program aims to teach all the school’s students how to identify and use parts of a computer system such as keyboard, video display screen, and cassette tape deck, how to program the computer in BASIC, a simple computer language, how to perform simple commands such as storing and retrieving information, and how computers can be used for everyday educational tasks.
