A Race For Sheriff
Countywide, voters will pick from four candidates for the office of sheriff. Initially, five had announced but Bob Evans, a newcomer to Rappahannock and former law enforcement officer with the Los Angeles. Calif., police department, did not turn in the required paperwork and petitions with the clerk by Tuesday’s filing deadline.
On the ballot as candidates for sheriff will be Martin Orfila, John Henry Woodward, John Walker Jenkins and Mark Wittle.
