NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC The Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries at a meeting held in Richmond, Virginia, on April 29. 1983. adopted the following amended or new regulations pursuant to Sections 29-125. 29-126 and 29-127 of the Code of Virginia, to become effective July 1.1983
CHAPTER 16 Raccoon. R16-2 Except as otherwise specifically provided in the regulations appearing m this chapter, it shall be lawful to chase raccoon with dogs without capturing or taking, in all counties east of the Blue Ridge Mountains from August 1 through May 31. both dates inclusive It shall be unlawful to have in immediate possession a firearm, bow. axe. saw. or any tree climbing device while hunting during this chase season
