Motorbike noise not only makes communication difficult, it’s upsetting to stock, according to Leake. “I’d like to see somebody rope a calf off a motorcycle. Now that would be a trick!” he added, grinning widely. “And if you’re working with a cow that gets mean, you can’t do anything if you’re on a motorcycle. You can’t even get close to her and if you do, you’re right down there where she can hurt you.”
