Walter Scott Reid III, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Scott Reid, Jr., of Front Royal, has been named the valedictorian of Wakefield School’s Class of 1983.
Reid, who will attend the University of Virginia next year, earned the distinction of valedictorian for having achieved the highest grade point average in his senior class. A student at Wakefield since Grade 5, Reid has won many academic awards and distinctions, including the Latin, Greek, French, History, and Citizenship prizes. Earlier this year Reid was named a National Merit Commended Student and was the recipient of the DAR Good Citizenship Award.
