As in years past, the Garden Club awarded several scholarships. The Frances Leonard scholarships wrent to Kristie Johnson, Cristol Porter and Patricia Scott. Terri Tylek won the club’s valedictorian award, all presented by Garden Club president, Mrs. Joseph Nordone, and chairman of the scholarship committee, Mrs. Frances Lyne.
Also presented to Tylek was the valedictory plaque, given her by School Superintendent Robert Estabrook. Estabrook also presented the salutatorian’s plaque to Apianda Magee.
