Beverly Williams

Beverly Garfield Williams, 82, of Chester Gap, died Wednesday, December 18, 1986, at Warren Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services were conducted Friday at Chester Gap Baptist Mission by the Rev. William Alford. Burial was at Williams Cemetery in Chester Gap. -

Mr. Williams was bom June 26, 1903, in Rappahannock County, son of the late Herbert and Edith Sealock Williams. He was a retired U.S. government employee, having worked at the old Remount Depot in Front Royal.

His wife Sidney Elizabeth Williams predeceased him.

Surviving are a son, Herbert “Jibo” Williams of Chester Gap; a daughter, Barbara Williams of Chester Gap; a stepson, Jack Jones of Bradenton, Fla., eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Additional survivors include three brothers, Samuel Williams and George Williams, both of Chester Gap, and J. D. Williams of Front Royal; three sisters, Anna Marie Mahoney and Emma Lockhart, both of Front Royal, and Eva Bolander of Laurel, Md.

Pallbearers were grandsons Mickey Williams, Lynn Williams, Tony Williams, Earl Williams, Bruce Williams and Dougie Williams.

Tumer-Robertshaw Funeral Home, Front Royal, was in charge of the arrangements.
