The Rappahannock Water and Sewer Authority held the longawaited ground breaking ceremony for the Speryville Sewage System on March 4.
The groundbreaking was important because the project has been in the planning stages for the past 16 years.
The System has not been progressing flawlessly however. In November it was reported that there would probably be delays in completion.
Number 7 — One-third of Rappahannock teachers new
More than one-third of the teachers who began teaching in the Rappahannock Country school system this year were new. Out of a total staff of 69, there were 24 new instructors this year — a percentage much higher than that which exists in surrounding counties. _
